Descriptive
continues
On Monday
6th February, I learned about “Descriptive” that was continued from the last
week. Next, she told us to talk about “What did you learn last week?” Then she
explained and read this story for us. Then, she told us to do the activities
for this text.
And then, the teacher taught us to pronounce the words as the native speaker by
using the Cambridge Dictionary. So, the words that she opened were;
- archipelago (n.) /ˌɑː.kɪˈpel.ə.ɡəʊ/ = a group of small islands or an area of sea in which there are many small islands
- glorious (adj.) /ˈɡlɔː.ri.əs/ = very beautiful
Next, she
told us to read the text 2 “Budapest”. After we did it finished, she told to read the text 3. It is “Prague” that is the city in Europe. After I finished read, she told us to
do the activity below this text.
Finally, the
teacher explained the purpose of Descriptive So, it’s “to describe and reveal a particular
person’
place, or thing”.
After I
finished this lesson, I think text 4 is easy for me because I could read it
understandably.
In addition,
I think I found many difficult words that I didn’t know the meaning.
I used skimming, scanning, and finding references to comprehend the texts.
